This project involved the creation of a modern extension to a traditional country home, seamlessly blending contemporary design with rural character. The new structure adds spacious open-plan living areas on the ground floor with bedrooms and bathrooms above, all connected via a sleek, light-filled link.

Constructed from 100% recycled Durisol insulated blocks and supported by a concealed steel frame, the build delivers exceptional thermal and acoustic performance. Large, glazed openings and an open corner enhance natural light and views of the landscaped garden.

Externally, the extension features vertical larch cladding, hidden gutters, and minimalist detailing to complement the setting. A first-floor balcony from the principal bedroom offers elevated countryside views and indoor-outdoor flow.

Internally, the finish includes bespoke joinery, underfloor heating, and a fully integrated M&E system. Extensive landscaping completes the integration between the old house, the new addition, and the surrounding grounds.
